Jane Austen LARP April 11th at Svartsjö Castle

30/01/2026

Come and dance, enjoy good food, socialise, and above all, gossip as your character at the live roleplay Jane Austen’s World. Play a pre-written character from one of five popular Austen novels. The evening’s ball is not just dancing and polite conversation – it is a matter of life and death to navigate rumours, class differences, gender roles, family expectations, and the challenge of arranging advantageous engagements for yourself or your children. Your family may be your greatest asset or your greatest obstacle. Your own feelings? They must give way to society’s expectations – or will they be defied?

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
You are assigned a role. When registering, specify the character’s gender, how driving and social you want your role to be, and which players you would like in your role group/novel family. To recognise the characters during the evening, everyone wears name tags with title, name, fortune, and novel.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴?
For those who wish to take part but keep a low profile, it is possible to request a less driving role when registering. Participation still contributes to the shared journey back in time.
